Bruno Valdez Scholarship

Bruno Valdez was a phenomenal local jazz and Latin jazz musician who studied music at Mott Community College and the University of Michigan – Flint. Bruno and his best friend died tragically in 1991 in an accident caused by a drunk driver. Although his career provided him with immense opportunities, he always had time to give back to his community. In honor of his legacy, a permanent scholarship endowment has been established at the Foundation of Mott Community College in the name of Bruno Valdez.
