Grayce Scholt

Grayce Scholt retired from Mott Community college in 1990 after serving more than 40 years as a dedicated teacher and advisor. During that 35 years at Mott, she instructed, nurtured, counseled and mentored more than 8,000 students in English composition and literature. Her retirement has not diminished her influence – several of her students have gone on to study children’s literature at four-year institutions and beyond. Almost single-handedly, she created, preserved an maintained a high quality collection of children’s literature in the Mott Library which has been much used by students, teachers, and librarians over the years.
